John E. Leming of Crestview Hills, Kentucky, was born June 25, 1924, in Williamstown, Kentucky. He passed away Monday, June 15, 2009 in Edgewood, Kentucky, at the age of84.
John was the son of the late Marcus Samuel and Ruth Elizabeth Dahling Leming. He was a WWII veteran of theU.S. Navy, and a veteran of the U.S. Airforce Reserves,aretired chief mechanic for airplane operations department for Procter and Gamble Company, Cincinnati, Ohio. He is a member of the Erlanger Baptist Church, a member of the Grant County Historical Society, and a member of the Model A Ford Restorers Club. He was united in marriage to Carolyn Dean Van Tyle Leming, on October 15, 2005.
In addition to being survived by his wife, John is also survived by 1 daughter, Jane Elizabeth Leming McKinley of Goshen, Kentucky; 1 son, John E. Leming Jr. of Cold Springs, Kentucky; 1 stepson, Dennis Baldwin of Rising Sun, Indiana; 4 step daughters, Brenda Selmeyer of Aurora, Indiana, Julie Wade of Evansville, Indiana, Mary Bailey of Rising Sun, Indiana, and Kathy Wilkerson of Brookville, Indiana; 2 brothers, Carl Allen Leming of Florence, Kentucky, and Sam Leming of Independence, Kentucky; and 1 sister, Jo Ann Gillespie of Florence, Kentucky. Also survived are 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Funeral services for John will be at 11:00am Friday, June 19, 2009 at the Erlanger Baptist Church, burial will be at the Highland Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 8:00pm Thursday at the Erlanger Baptist Church.
