Hollie B Clifton

Hollie B. Clifton of Jonesville, Kentucky,was born Jan. 23, 1927, in the Brush Creekcommunity of Owen County,Kentucky. He passsed away on Wednesday,May20, 2009, in Edgewood, Kentucky, at the age of 82.

Hollie was the son of the late Garnet B. and Ella Harrington Clifton. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Koreanconflict; a retired shipping operator, for the U.S SteelCompany, in Blue Ash, Ohio;and a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church, in Jonesville, Kentucky. Hollie was united in marriage with Jewell Mae Reynolds Clifton on April 20, 1968.

In addition to his wife of 41 years, Hollie is survived by 1 son, Douglas Lance Clifton of Jonesville, Kentucky; 3 daughters, Kay Jump of Verona, Kentucky, Sharon Ann Flender of Vinice, Florida, and Carolyn Porter Horn of Crittenden, Kentucky; 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Hollie was preceded in death by 1 son Albert Craig Clifton, and 1 brother Vernon Ray Clifton.

Funeral services for Hollie, will be at 11:00am Saturday, May 23, 2009, at the Macedonia Baptist Church, in Jonesville, Kentucky, with burial in the Jonesville I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, May 22, 2009, from 5:00pm to8:00pm at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown, Kentucky, and Saturday, May 23, 2009 from 10:00am to 11:00am at the Macadonia Baptist Church.
