Anna Wilson Vincent

May 27, 1918 - May 19, 2009

Anna Wilson Vincent was born in Edmonson County, Kentucky on May 27, 1918 and passed away at the Grant Manor Health Care Center in Williamstown, Kentucky on May 19, 2009 at the age of 90. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Ermine Childress Wilson.

On September 11, 1937, she was united in marriage with Winchel Vincent who preceded Anna in death on February 3, 1994. From this union two daughters: Alda Sparrow of Dry Ridge, KY and Elaine Ahrens of Cincinnati, OH; and one son: David D. Vincent of Florence, KY survive. A daughter, Nelda Douthett and a son, Winchel Vincent, Jr died earlier. In addition to her loving children,Mrs. Vincent is survived by five sisters: Millie Wilson of Edmonson County, Velma Petrey of Louisville, KY, Alma Dennis of Mammoth Cave, KY, Eleanor Church of Louisville, KY and Grace Day of Lexington, KY; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

A homemaker, Mrs. Vincent was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church and Past President of the W.M.U. She also taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School.

Funeral services will be Noon on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until Noon on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Williamstown Cemetery.
