Odessa Bailey Riley

September 29, 1939 - July 28, 2013

Odessa Marie Bailey Riley was born Sept. 29, 1939 in Breathitt Co., Kentucky and passed away July 28, 2013 in Edgewood, Kentucky at the age of 73. She was the daughter of the late Alvis Clay and Rhunie Wilson Bailey.

Odessa, a homemaker, was preceded in death by her husband: Dempsey Franklin Riley; a son: Edward Franklin Riley; a sister: Nadine Wright; 3 brothers: Vindas Lee Bailey, Jessie Bailey, and Gary Bailey; and a grandson: Christopher Riley.

She is survived by a son: Clay Riley of Ghent; two daughters: Lisa Riley of Dry Ridge and Janice Lynn Riley of Glencoe; six brothers: Deford Bailey of Verona, Verlin Bailey of Glencoe, David Bailey of Sparta, R.J. Bailey of Glencoe, Darryl Bailey of Glencoe, and Billy Ray Bailey of North Judson, IN; two sisters: Faye Harvey of Dry Ridge and Vaida Singleton of Florence; four grandchildren: Amanda Carol Carnes, Melody Lynn Riley, William Andrew Kendall, and Maria Lynn Gregory; and 8 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Aug. 1, at 2:00 PM at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday beginning at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in New Bethel Cemetery.
