Rosemary Clinkscales Rouse, 96 of Burnside, KY died Monday, July 1, 2013 at Fort Logan Hospital, Stanford, KY after a brief illness.

Mrs. Rouse was born October 11, 1916 at Williamstown, KY to the late Dr. Foster M. & Anna Isabel Blanchet Clinkscales.She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Virgil Lee Rouse, in 1996 to whom she was married 57 years.

She was a homemaker and longtime assistant to her husband in his dental practice in Ludlow, KY and was also a former teacher at Ludlow High School.She was a 1936 graduate of the University of Kentucky, serving two years as the band sponsor of the Marching 100 Band.

She was a member of the Stanford Baptist Church, a former active member of the Burnside United Methodist Church, Ludlow Presbyterian Church, Williamstown Baptist Church, and the Burnside Garden Club.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia L. (Philip) Smith, Stanford; two grandchildren, Rhonda L. Smith, Houston, TX and Kevin (Jacquie) Smith, Stanford, two great-grandsons, Trenton and Gavin Smith of Stanford and one sister, Frances C. Stanley of Williamstown.

Funeral Services will be 12:00 Noon, Friday, July 5, at Stanford Baptist Church with visitation from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon Friday at the church.Committal service will be at 3:30 PM Friday at Williamstown Cemetery.Memorials suggested to Gideons International or the church or charity of the donor''s choice.
