Mrs. Vivian Clayton of Dry Ridge, KY. passed away Saturday, December 17 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY. at the age of 87. Mrs. Clayton was born December 21, 1928 in Jellico, TN. to the late Don and Betty Williams Creekmore. Mrs. Clayton was a retired production worker for US Shoe Corporation and a member of the Heritage Assembly of God in Florence, KY. Mrs. Clayton loved playing cards and scrabble and she enjoyed attending her prayer groups. She will be most fondly remembered by her family for being a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Clayton was preceded in death by 2 daughters: Denise Allee and Rena Smith. She was also preceded in death by a grandson: Jeffrey Smith, a great granddaughter: Jessica Scott and by 2 great, great grandchildren.
Mrs. Clayton is survived by 2 daughters: Susan (Jim) Green of Florence, KY., Darlene (Johnny) True of Corinth, KY., 3 sons: Henry Clayton of West Liberty, KY., Ronnie (Stephanie) Clayton of Hebron, KY., David Clayton of Dry Ridge, KY. She has 21 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 15 great, great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Vivian Clayton will be conducted 1:00 pm Wednesday, December 21 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge, KY. with Rev. Cleddie Keith officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 20 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. Burial will be in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Erlanger, KY.
