Jennie Smith

December 29, 1942 - August 25, 2016

Jennie Marian Gullion Smith was born in Mt. Hill, Kentucky in Carroll County on December 29, 1942 and passed away at her residence in Crittenden, Kentucky on August 25, 2016 after a long illness at the age of 73.  She was the daughter of Norval Marsh Gullion and the late Ray Gullion.

Mrs. Smith was united in marriage with Roger Leland Peter Smith on July 6, 1968.  In addition to her loving mother and husband, Jen is survived by her daughter: Tosca Smith of Loveland Colorado, her son: Blake Smith of Covington; her sister: Charlotte (John) Cunningham of Walton; two grandchildren and one great granddaughter.  She worked for many years as a receptionist at several locations including Boone County Schools and the Kentucky Department of Human Services in Boone County.  Mrs. Smith loved drawing and participating in all kinds of arts and crafts.  She was a member of the Crittenden Christian Church.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Monday, August 29, 2016 at the Crittenden Christian Church with visitation at the church from Noon until 2:00 PM.  Elder, Cindy Wallace will be the celebrant.  Burial will follow in the New Bethel Cemetery, Verona.  Memorials are suggested to the Crittenden Christian Church or the American Diabetes Association.
