Tyler Benson

June 7, 1992 - August 24, 2016

Tyler Edward Benson, age 24, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 24 at his residence. Tyler was born in Fort Lauderdale, FL but lived in Dry Ridge most of his life.  He attended Grant Co. Schools where he was active in sports, particularly football. He graduated from Grant Co. High School in 2010 and attended the University of Louisville. He attended Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Owenton. Tyler was a young entrepreneur with Big Rex's Fireworks in Dry Ridge.

Tyler is survived by his father, Rex Benson of Dry Ridge and his mother, Cheryl Molzen of Boca Raton, FL, one brother, Rex Roland Benson of Dry Ridge, and one sister, Chelsea Nichole Benson of Mathis, Texas. He is also survived by his paternal aunt, Terri Mears & his paternal grandmother, Nita Benson, both of Owenton, maternal grandmother, Selma Olsson of Boca Raton, FL. and a maternal uncle, Eric Molzen of Yankeetown, FL.  He was preceded in death by a paternal grandfather, Roland (Rex) Benson.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, August 29th at 7:00PM at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Homes, Williamstown location, with Rev. Dave "Milkweed" Wotier officiating.  Visitation will begin at 3:00 and go until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions will may be made to Grant Co. High School Braves Football Program.
