Rita Sparrow

January 25, 1939 - August 22, 2016

A Dry Ridge resident, Rita Milner Sparrow passed away at the University of Kentucky Medical Center on Monday, August 22, 2016 at the age of 77.  She was preceded in death by her son, Calvin Sparrow.

Mrs. Sparrow was a former employee of Pilot Truck Stop in Richwood, KY. She is a member of the Oak Ridge Baptist Church.

Mrs. Sparrow is survived by one son, Dennis Sparrow ( Alison) of Corinth, one daughter, Lorraine "Peaches" Sparrow (David Rice) of Dry Ridge, two brothers, Ronnie Milner of Piner, KY, Roy Milner of Cynthiana, KY, one sister, Bernice Dixon of Shelbyville, KY, three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, from 5-8pm at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Corinth, KY.  Rev. Tom Knipfer will be officiating the funeral service on Friday at 11am. Burial will follow in the New Columbus cemetery.
