Alice Marie Ellis

January 12, 1936 - August 12, 2016

Alice Marie Ellis was born January 12, 1936 in Louisville, Kentucky and passed away August 12, 2016 in Warsaw, Kentucky at the age of 80.  She was the daughter of the late Edward and Lucille Bopp Thompson.

On March 20, 1964, Alice was united in marriage to Costo Ellis.  In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons: Tim Ellis of Florence, Mickey Whitner of Ohio and Dennis Whitner of Ohio; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers: Thomas Thompson and Bert Thompson; and two sisters: Mary Hayes and Stella.

Alice was a member of the Florence Church of God and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star.  She was also a retired waitress.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, Aug. 16 at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home in Verona.  Visitation will be 12:00-1:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the New Bethel Cemetery.
