Dorothy Vallandingham

May 28, 1933 - August 1, 2016

Dorothy Jane Points Vallandingham was born in Dayton, Kentucky on May 28, 1933 and passed away at the home of a son on August 1, 2016 at the age of 83.  She was the only child of the late Robert Kirtley and Sara Jane Rich Points.

Dorothy was united in marriage with John Kirtley Vallandingham on September 1, 1951, who passed away on March 22, 2005.  She is survived by two sons: John K. "Butch" Vallandingham and his wife, Jennifer of Union and Roy K. Vallandingham and his wife, Angela, of Independence; seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Mrs. Vallandingham worked as a Quality Review Technician for the Internal Revnne Service in Covington for over 25 years.  She was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, the Grant County Historical Society and the Captain John Lillard Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Funeral services will be private and the burial will be in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.  Memorial contributions are recommended to the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in care of Brenda Points.
