Garry L. Henry

February 27, 1950 - July 19, 2016

Garry Lane Henry was born in Corinth, Kentucky on February 27, 1950 and passed away from an apparent heart attack at his home near Cynthiana, Kentucky on July 19, 2016 at the age of 66.  He was the son of the late William Jewel and Viola Josephine Lawrence Henry.

Garry was united in marriage with the former Patsy Burry on April 3, 1971.  In addtion to his loving wife of 45 years, he is survived by a daughter: Debra Hensley of Corinth; a son: Michael Henry of Corinth; a sister: Doris (Everett) Pittman of Raleigh, NC and four grandchildren: Brooklyn, Jacob, Emily and Tyler.  Garry was a lifelong farmer who lived and breathed farming.  An avid lover of Ford Tractors, he also was active in his community.  He remained a member of the Grant County Fair Board and the Lystra Church of Christ at his death.  Earlier in life he was a member of the Grant County School Board and Grant County Planning and Zoning as well as a truck driver for Royce Adams Oil Company.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 23, 2016 at the Elliston - Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097.  Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4:00 - 9:00 PM, Friday.  Burial will follow in the Hill Crest Cemetery.  Memorials are suggested to the Grant County Fair Board or the memorial of donor's choice.
