Linda Gill Malone

November 24, 1939 - June 24, 2016

Linda Gill Malone, age 76, passed away at her home Friday, June 24, 2016. She was born Nov. 24, 1939 to the late Stanley and Allene Gill. She graduated from Harrison County High School where she enjoyed playing trumpet in the marching band and excelled in academics.

She attended Eastern Kentucky University and was a life long member of Stringtown Christian Church.

Linda was a substitute school teacher in Grant County and active volunteer in the GED and Adult Literacy programs. Mrs. Malone spent many hours visiting nursing homes and sending cards of encouragement to those in need.

A loving and devoted wife and mother, she is survived by her husband of 58 years, John; two sons: Greg Malone (Susan) of Cincinnati and Doug Malone (Angela) of Burlington; a daughter: Lisa Malone (Doug Drake) of Hendersonville, TN; a sister: Dolly Barnes of Erlanger; three grandsons: Colin Malone, Nicholas Malone and Grant Morton; a granddaughter: Payton Malone; and two great granddaughters.

Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown.  Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Wednesday, June 29 at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Pythian Grove Cemetery in Berry.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Stringtown Christian Church.
