Harley Leroy Pruiett

June 2, 1927 - March 23, 2016

Mr. Harley Leroy Pruiett, of Crittenden, KY. passed away Wednesday, March 23 at St. Elizabeth Florence at the age of 88.  Mr. Pruiett was born June 2, 1927 in Campbell County, KY. to the late Orville Pruiett and Laura Isabelle Shafer Pruiett.  Mr. Pruiett proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II where he served as a gunner and worked on aircraft after the war.  Mr. Pruiett also formerly worked for Newport Steel and he retired as a brick mason.

In addition to his parents Mr. Pruiett was preceded in death by his first wife: Anna Clausen Pruiett in 1984 and by a sons: David Pruiett and David Millar.  Also preceded in death by a brother: Benny Pruiett.

Mr. Pruiett leaves to mourn his passing his wife: Nancy McDaniel Pruiett, sons: Mark Millar and his wife Donna of Florida, Steve Millar of Covington, KY., Rick Millar and his wife Nora of Ft. Thomas, KY., daughters: Donna Smith of Massachusetts, Darlene Long and her husband Ronald of Indiana and Connie Lewis and her husband David of South Carolina.  Mr. Pruiett was also blessed with several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Harley Leroy Pruiett will be conducted 12:00 noon Monday, March 28 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge with Bro. Wendell Perkins and Bro. Craig Baston officiating.  Visitation will be there on Monday from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm.  Burial with military honors will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Dry Ridge.
