Lowell Ray Barnett

August 14, 1937 - March 19, 2016

Mr. Lowell Ray Barnett, of Williamstown, KY. passed away Saturday, March 19 at the Grant Center Nursing Home in Williamstown, KY. at the age of 78.  Mr. Barnett was born August 14, 1937 in Barbourville, KY. to the late Goebel Barnett and Flora Darby Barnett.  Mr. Barnett grew up in Boone County, KY. but has lived the last 32 in Grant County, KY. Mr. Barnett worked on farms as well as previously working at the GAP and for Sav-A-Lot grocery store.  Mr. Barnett was a member of the Sherman Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Barnett was preceded in death by a grandmother: Kittie F. Hisle and by a special friend, Sallie E. Clair.

Mr. Barnett leaves to mourn his passing a sister: Betty Harper of Auburn, GA., brothers: Paul "P.G." Gentrup and his wife Paula of Rising Sun, IN., and Ken "Cruiser" Gentrup and his wife Rhonda of Covington, IN.

Cremation has been chosen by the family and there will be a memorial service and time of remembrance on Saturday, April 16 beginning at 11:00 am at the Sherman Church of Christ.

Burial of the cremated remains will be with his family and friends in the Hopeful Lutheran Cemetery in Florence, KY.
