Mary Katherine Nunnelley

December 17, 1926 - February 4, 2016

Mrs. Mary Katherine Meeks Nunnelley, of Midway, KY. passed away Thursday, February 4 at St. Joseph Hospice in Lexington at the age of 89.  Mrs. Nunnelley was born December 17, 1926 in Harrison County, KY. to the late Alfred Meeks and Abby Corbin Meeks.  Mrs. Nunnelley was a self employed beautician for nearly 65 years.  She enjoyed all types of sports but was especially fond of the Cincinnati Reds.  She loved to travel and at one time or another had visited 4 continents but her most favorite place to visit was nearer to home, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.  During World War II Mrs. Nunnelley worked in a defense plant in Cincinnati, OH.  She will most be remembered by her family for her love and devotion to them and never missing a ball game of her 2 granddaughters.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Nunnelly was preceded in death by her husband: Earl Lee Nunnelley on July 27, 1973 and by 2 brothers: Clarence Meeks and Claude Meeks.

Mrs. Nunnelley leaves to mourn her passing a son: Denny Nunnelley and his wife Lou of Versailles, KY. and 2 granddaughters: Kay Nunnelley and Beth Nunnelley.

Graveside services and burial for Mrs. Nunnelley will be conducted 11:00 am Friday, February 5 at the Corinth Cemetery.  There will be no visitation.
