Mrs. Barbara Jean Brumley of Corinth, KY. passed away Friday, January 1 at St. Joseph Hospital in London, KY. at the age of 74. Mrs. Brumley was born May 31, 1941 in Hamilton County, Ohio to the late Leonard Glosser and Pansey Bengal Glosser. Mrs. Brumley was a homemaker and a member of the Caney Fork Baptist Church in Owen County. Mrs. Brumley enjoyed reading, sewing and cooking but she will most be remembered by her family for being a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brumley was preceded in death by her husband, Shade Brumley on February 13, 2006, by a daughter: Debbie Sue Brumley in 1966 and by a son: Estill Brumley in 2013.
Mrs. Brumley leaves to mourn her passing 3 daughters: Betty (Kelly) Gregory of London, KY., Donna (Robert) Wilson of Corinth, KY., Henrietta House of Corinth, KY., 5 sons: Charles Brumley of New Columbus, KY., James Brumley of New Columbus, KY., Gary Brumley of New Columbus, KY., Thomas Brumley of New Columbus, KY., Billy (Leann) Brumley of New Columbus, KY., 4 sisters: Judith Martin, Patricia Hott, Kathy Ronecker & Rebecca McCurry all of Cincinnati, OH. Mrs. Brumley was blessed with 24 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Jean Brumley will be conducted 1:00 pm Wednesday, January 6 in the chapel of the McDaniel Funeral Home, Corinth with Rev. David Foley officiating. Visitation will be there on Tuesday, January 5 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. Burial will be in the Caney Fork Cemetery, Owen County.
