Bobby G. Roland

May 6, 1940 - December 12, 2015

Mr. Bobby G. Roland, of Brown County, Indiana passed away Saturday, December 12 at home at the age of 75.  Mr. Roland was born May 6, 1940 in Grant County, KY. to the late Clarence F. and Claudine Race Roland.  Mr. Roland retired in 1985 from Preston Trucking Co. in Indianapolis after 9 years of service as a truck driver.  Prior to that he held the same position with McLean Trucking in Indianapolis for 22 years.  Bobby attended the Neighborhood Church of God in Brown County for 25 years and enjoyed woodworking, camping and NASCAR.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Roland was preceded in death by 2 siblings, Norma Kerns and Blaine Roland.

Mr. Roland leaves to mourn his passing his wife: Elnora Wright Roland.  They were married on Dec. 15, 1957 in Owen County, KY., his children: Sherry (Damon) Davis of Indianapolis, IN., Jackie (Donetta) Motley of Sedalia, and William Rick (Teena) Roland of Greenwood.  He is also survived by siblings: Aline (Bob) Kenney, Georgetta (Larry) Duncan, Vicky Adams, Dora Ann Griffin, Sue Perkins and Billy Roland all of Kentucky, Betty Jo Souder of Florida and Buford Roland of Indianapolis, IN.  He was blessed with 9 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 8 great, great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Bobby G. Roland will be conducted 1:00 pm Saturday, December 19 in the chapel of the McDaniel Funeral Home, Corinth.  Visitation will be there on Saturday from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm.  Burial will be in the Antioch Church of Christ Cemetery, Corinth.
