Clara H. Whitton

Mrs. Clara H. Whitton, of Crittenden, KY. passed away Sunday, September 13 at her home at the age of 82. Mrs. Whitton was born June 5, 1933 in Crittenden, KY. to the late Samuel Hisel and Eva Mae Parker Hisel. Mrs. Whitton was a retired manager for Cincinnati Bell and a member of the Crittenden Christian Church. Mrs. Whitton served for many years on the Crittenden City Council. She was active with a nursing home ministry visiting those who are sick and shut in. She enjoyed going to flea markets and yard sales but will most be remembered by her family for her love and devotion to her children and grandchildren. Mrs Whitton was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Whitton on May 16, 1999. Mrs. Whitton leaves to mourn her passing a son: Larry Whitton of Walton, KY., 2 daughters: Jeanne Flick of Cincinnati, OH. and Debbie Ward of Walton, KY., She has 2 sisters: Mary Greenwell of Crittenden, KY., Beulah Winkle of Butler, KY., 1 brother: Gene Hisel of Florence, KY. and she was blessed with 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Public graveside services and burial for Mrs. Clara H. Whitton will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday, September 17 at the Broadridge Cemetery on Knoxville Road, near Dry Ridge, KY. There will be a public visitation and time of remembrance on Wednesday, September 16 from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm at the Lloyd's Welfare House in Crittenden, KY. Memorial contributions if desired may be directed to Hospice of the Bluegrass or the charity of one's choice. The Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home of Dry Ridge, KY. has been entrusted with the arrangements for Mrs. Clara H. Whitton.
