Alma Rose Jones

Mrs. Alma Rose Beckham Jones, passed away Monday, September 7 at her daughter's residence in Cincinnati, OH. at the age of 93. Mrs. Jones was born March 28, 1922 in Owen County, KY. to the late Benjamin Beckham and Lorena Wright Beckham. Mrs. Jones was a retired factory worker and a member of the Church of the Nazarene. She was a former Sunday school teacher and she enjoyed quilting and sewing and will be fondly remembered by her family for her love and devotion to her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Harry R. Jones on October 23, 1998. They had been married since February 4, 1940. Mrs. Jones leaves to mourn her passing a daughter: Eva Jones of Cincinnati, OH., a son: Carl Jones and his wife Linda of Villa Hills, KY., a stepson: Garfield Jones of Corinth, KY., 2 sisters: Daisy Parsons of Corinth, KY., Hallie T. Parr of Corinth, KY. and a brother: Richard Beckham of Corinth, KY. She was blessed with 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 4 great, great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Alma Rose Jones will be conducted 1:00 pm Friday, September 11 in the chapel of the McDaniel Funeral Home, Corinth. Visitation will be there on Friday from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. Burial will be in the Corinth Cemetery. Memorial contributions if desired may be directed to the St. Jude Children's Hospital.
