Edna Spillman Coleman

Mrs. Edna Myrtle Spillman Coleman, of Dry Ridge, KY. passed away Tuesday, August 4 at the Grant Center Nursing Home in Williamstown, KY. at the age of 93. Mrs. Coleman was born October 31, 1921 in Carlisle, KY. to the late William Tucker and Eva Edwards Tucker. Mrs. Coleman was a homemaker and former cook at the Grant County Hospital where she worked for a number of years. Mrs. Coleman enjoyed baking and all types of flowers. She had a love for animals and will be fondly remembered by her family for her love and devotion to her children and grandchildren. At the time of her passing Mrs. Coleman was a member of the Sherman Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Coleman was preceded in death by her first husband, Clark Spillman in 1978 and by George Coleman in 1983. She was also preceded in death by a son: Homer T. Spillman in 1981. Mrs. Coleman leaves to mourn her passing 3 sons: Clifford Lyle Spillman of Demossville, KY., Larry Dale Spillman of Mt. Zion, KY., Allen Wade Spillman of Florence, KY., 2 daughters: Patricia L. Spillman Bingham of Crittenden, KY., Carol Ann Spillman True of Monteagle, TN. and she was blessed with 15 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 8 great, great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Edna Myrtle Spillman Coleman will be conducted 2:00 pm Thursday, August 6 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge, KY. with Rev. David Tucker officiating. Visitation will be there on Thursday, August 6 from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm. Burial will be in the Crittenden Cemetery.
