Rita Steger

January 28, 1928 - July 27, 2015

Mrs. Rita Steger, of Corinth, KY. passed away Monday, July 27 at the Providence of Gallatin Healthcare in Warsaw, KY. at the age of 87. Mrs. Steger was born January 28, 1928 in Corinth, KY. to the late Conrad L. Vincent and Ethel Brear Vincent. Mrs. Steger was a retired school secretary for the Grant County School System and had worked years ago at the former Corinth Deposit Bank. She was active in her community as a hospice volunteer, member of the Corinth Lions Club, Grant County Adult Education and a staunch member of the Democratic Party. She was a big University of Kentucky basketball fan and enjoyed traveling to music shows, shopping, baking and playing piano. At the time of her passing Mrs. Steger was a member of the New Columbus Baptist Church. Mrs. Steger leaves to mourn her passing 2 daughters: Sally Michael of Redondo Beach, CA., and Caroline Hyden and her husband Steve of Walton, KY., 2 stepsons: Tom (Debbie) Steger of Murfreesboro, TN., Brent Steger of Naperville, IL., 1 sister: JoAnne True of Corinth, KY., She was blessed with 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Mrs. Steger is also survived by special nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorial services for Mrs. Rita Steger will be conducted 12:00 noon Saturday, August 1 in the chapel of the McDaniel Funeral Home, Corinth with Rev. Brad Vincent officiating. Visitation will be there on Saturday from 10:00 am - 12:00 noon. Memorial contributions if desired may be directed to the Corinth Lions Club or the Church of one's choice.
