Mr. Clifford A. Stivers, of Dry Ridge, KY. passed away Wednesday, June 17 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood, KY. at the age of 79. Mr. Stivers was born July 22, 1935 in Lexington, KY. to the late Clarence Cosby Stivers and Myrtle Gibson Stivers. Mr. Stivers was a retired mechanic for Sechrest's Garage in Williamstown and was a member of the Dry Ridge Baptist Church. Mr. Stivers will be fondly remembered for his ability to fix almost anything and used this talent to help others in his community. He enjoyed giving and helping and the importance of being a father. In years past he enjoyed bowling. In addition to his parents, Mr. Stivers was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 5 brothers. Mr. Stivers leaves to mourn his passing his wife of 52 years: Patricia "Patsy" Stivers, 2 daughters: Brigitte (Jeff) Coleman of Union, KY. and Bernadette (Jeff) Couch of Independence, KY., he was blessed with 3 granddaughters: Kelsey Coleman, Shelby Coleman and Brooklynn Couch. Funeral services for Mr. Clifford A. Stivers will be conducted 1:00 pm Monday, June 22 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Payton officiating. Visitation will be there on Monday, June 22 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Dry Ridge. Memorial contributions if desired may be directed to the Dry Ridge Baptist Church Building Fund.
