Mrs. Dessie Mardis of Williamstown, KY. passed away Friday, March 27 at the Grant Center Nursing Home in Williamstown, KY. at the age of 96. Dessie was born February 14, 1919 in Irvine, KY. to the late Lee Gordon and Ada Tackett Gordon. Dessie enjoyed cooking and was employed at the Halfway House as a cook for many years. Mrs. Mardis was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents Mrs. Mardis was preceded in death by her husband: Charles L. Mardis on September 16, 1993 and by several other family members. Mrs. Mardis leaves to mourn her passing a special friend: Carol Doane of Berry, KY. Funeral Services for Mrs. Dessie Mardis will be held 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 31 in the chapel of the McDaniel Funeral Home, Corinth with Bro. Quintin McNabb officiating. The visitation will also be at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 31 from 10am until the funeral hour. If desired memorial contributions are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.
