Shirley Robert Coomer

Mr. Shirley Robert Coomer of Dry Ridge, KY. passed away Monday, November 3 at his residence at the age of 73. Shirley was born on July 28, 1941 in Pendleton County, KY. to the late Harlan and Stella Byrd Coomer. Shirley loved the outdoors, coon hunting and fishing. He was a member of AMVETS and the Walton Good Guys Club. Shirley was a special man that would help anyone at anytime. Mr. Coomer leaves to mourn his passing his wife: Linda (McKinley) Coomer; 1 daughter: Melissa Penn of Dry Ridge, KY; 1 son: Stanley Parker of Dry Ridge, KY; 3 sisters: Mary Huff of Dry Ridge, KY, Edna Sipple of Latonia, KY and Pauline Hamlin of Dry Ridge, KY; 1 brother: Frank Coomer of Taylor Mill, KY; Shirley also leaves behind several niece's and nephews and was blessed with 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral Services for Mr. Coomer will be conducted 1pm Thursday, November 6 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge with Rev. Bobby Barnes officiating. Visitation will also be at the funeral home on Thursday from 10am until the funeral hour.
