Mr. Marshall Taylor of Jonesville, KY. passed away Sunday, October 19 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Florence, KY. at the age of 71. Marshall was born on May 7, 1943 in Pike County, KY. to the late Bascom and Francis Stiltner Taylor. Marshall was of the Baptist Faith. He loved his tools, taking care of his garden and raising bee's. Marshall was a self taught diesel mechanic and operated heavy equipment all his life. He was employed with General Motors where he received credit for 6 patents. In addition to his parents, Marshall was preceded in death by his first wife: Bonnie Justice Taylor. He was preceded in death by a son: Marshall Jason Taylor in 2000; 2 sisters: Shirley Fraley and Nadine Huffman; 1 brother: Kurt Taylor Marshall leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Mrs. Shelby Taylor whom he married December 19, 1992; 3 daughters Robin (John) Page of Nottingham Road, South Africa, Melissa (Jack) Wise of Floyd County, KY. and Claudette Derosset of Gainesville, FL; 1 son: Charles (Diana) Smith of Jonesville, KY; 5 brothers: James Taylor, Eddie Taylor, Mike Taylor, Rodney Taylor and Steve Taylor; 6 sisters: Cassie Schupbach, Eunice Coleman, Janice Belcher, Donna Honaker, Debbie Epling, Judy Hunt; 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Visitation for Marshall will be held on Wednesday, October 22 from 5-8pm in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge. Funeral Services for Marshall will be held 11am Thursday, October 23 at the funeral home with Rev. Ronnie Angell officiating. Burial will follow in the HillCrest Cemetery, Dry Ridge. The Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home is entrusted with care.
