Lillian Marie Smith

Mrs. Lillian Marie Smith, of Dry Ridge, KY. passed away Saturday, August 2 at home at the age of 79. Mrs. Smith was born December 22, 1934 in Gallatin County, KY. to the late Tom and Myrtle McAtee Norris. Mrs. Smith enjoyed bowling, painting, crafts, fishing, camping and gardening. At the time of her passing, Mrs. Smith was a member of the Pleasant Home Baptist Church in Glencoe, KY. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband: William C. Smith in 2004; Two sisters: Mary Evelyn Barnes and Kathryn Hutchinson. Mrs. Smith leaves to mourn her passing two daughters: Sharon Volker and Donna Smith; three sons: Ken McFarland, Randy Smith and Steve Smith; one sister: Sarah Markesberry. Mrs. Smith was blessed with twelve grandchildren, four great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Smith will be held from 10am-12pm on Tuesday, August 5 at the Pleasant Home Baptist Church in Glencoe, KY. Funeral Services will also be held Tuesday at the church following the visiting hours with Dan Flowers officiating. Burial will follow in the Glencoe Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions are suggested to the Pleasant Home Baptist Church. The Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home of Dry Ridge, KY. has been entrusted with the arrangements for Mrs. Smith.
