Mr. Lloyd L. Biddle, of Crittenden, KY. passed away Saturday, June 28 at home at the age of 93. Mr. Biddle was born February 27, 1921 in Kirkland, Indiana to the late James and Amilda Kline Biddle. Mr. Biddle was a retired production supervisor for Peter Paul Candy Co. in Indiana. He was a member of the Masons and at the time of his passing Mr. Biddle was a member of the Indian River Presbyterian Church in Ft. Pierce, FL. but more recently he had attended the Crittenden Christian Church. Mr. Biddle enjoyed all sports, was an avid fisherman and he enjoyed watching NASCAR racing. Mr. Biddle had a passion for the ocean and the preservation and conservation of the ocean and ocean creatures and was an active member of the Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute in Fort Pierce, Florida. Mr. Biddle served his country in the United States Army during World War II. In addition to his parents, Mr. Biddle was preceded in death by a daughter: Catherine Whipple on June 29, 2004 and he was the last of 13 siblings. Mr. Biddle leaves to mourn his passing his wife: Doris Wainscott Biddle, 2 daughters: Sharon Rogers of Crittenden, KY. and Penne Reynolds of Indianapolis, IN. He was blessed with 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Biddle will be conducted 1:00 pm Wednesday, July 2 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 2 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. Burial with military honors will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown, KY. Memorials are suggested to the Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute, 5600 North US Highway 1, Fort Pierce, Florida, 34946.
