Comelia Louise Cook of Williamstown, KY. passed away Friday, June 20 at the St. Elizabeth Hospice Inpatient Care Unit in Edgewood, KY. at the age of 99. Mrs. Cook was born December 18, 1914 in Bracht, KY. to the late Harrison Robinson and Julia Purnell Robinson. Mrs. Cook was a homemaker and farmer and at the time of her passing she was a long time member of the Sherman Baptist Church. Mrs. Cook was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds and enjoyed playing euchre and rook card games. She was a member of the Grant County Homemakers and the Senior Citizens Group. She will be remembered fondly by her family as a fantastic cook and for her sharp, witty sense of humor. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford L. Cook on December 11, 1997 and by a son, Marvin Douglas Cook in 2012. Mrs. Cook leaves to mourn her passing a daughter: Mary Lou Stamper of Dry Ridge, KY., 1 son: Ernest D. Cook of Las Vegas, NV., 1 step sister: Leona Biddle of Verona, KY., 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Cook will be conducted 12:00 noon on Tuesday, June 24 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge with Pastor Terry Crigger officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 24 from 10:00 am - 12:00 noon. Burial will be in the New Bethel Cemetery, Verona, KY. Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Elizabeth Hospice or to the Sherman Baptist Church.
