Grover Howard Herrell

August 22, 1936 - June 2, 2014

Mr. Grover Howard Herrell, of Owen County passed away on Monday, June 2 at the VA Medical Center in Lexington, KY. at the age of 77. Mr. Herrell was born August 22, 1936 in Harrogate, Tennessee to the late C. M. Herrell and Cora Ethel Herrell. Mr. Herrell was a retired long distance truck driver and served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. In addition to his parents, Mr. Herrell was preceded in death by a brother and 2 sisters. Mr. Herrell leaves to mourn his passing a son: Thomas Herrell of Temple, GA. and his sister: Sylvia Burns of Owen County, KY. and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Herrell will be conducted 12:30 pm Wednesday, June 4 in the chapel of the McDaniel Funeral Home, Corinth with Rev. Brad Vincent officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 4 at the funeral home from 11:00 am - 12:30 pm. Burial with military honors will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown, KY.
