Charles Junior Strong

Charles Junior Strong of Sadieville, KY. passed away Thursday, April 24 at his residence at the age of 80. Charles was born on May 17, 1933 in Breathitt County, KY. to the late Finley and Letha Vires Strong. Charles was a retired Coal Miner. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his first wife: Dorothy Strong in 1979; his second wife: Katherine Strong in 2005; a sister: Bobbie Strong; 4 brothers: William Strong, Carl Strong, Frank Strong and Red Strong. Charles leaves to mourn his passing, a daughter: Tammy (Bill) Wheeler of Georgetown, KY; 6 sons: James (Lisa) Strong of Williamstown, KY., Charles (Shirley) Strong of Corinth, KY., Eddie (Angel) Strong of Sadieville, KY., Doug Strong of Sadieville, KY., Larry (Lisa) Strong of Sadieville, KY. and Jimmy (Vickie) Strong of Sadieville, KY. Charles was also blessed with 19 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Funeral Services for Charles will be held 11am Tuesday, April 29 at the New Friendship Baptist Church in Sadieville, KY with Rev. Paul Kirkpatrick officiating. Burial will follow in the Strong Family Cemetery in Sadieville, KY. Visitation will be held from 4 until 8pm on Monday, April 28 at the New Friendship Baptist Church in Sadieville, KY. Memorial Contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
