Harry Garnett

Mr. Harry Charles Garnett, of Corinth, KY. passed away Saturday, April 5 at St. Elizabeth Edgewood at the age of 85. Mr. Garnett was born December 18, 1928 in Owen County, KY. to the late William L. and Anna Durham Garnett. Mr. Garnett was retired from maintenance at Johnson Controls in Georgetown, KY. and at the time of his passing he was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church. In addition to his parents Mr. Garnett was preceded in death by a sister: Geraldine McDonald and by 2 great grandsons, Tyler Crosthwaite and Caleb Wade Dyer. Mr. Garnett leaves to mourn his passing his wife of 61 years, Marie Bruner Garnett. 2 sons: Ricky Garnett and wife Carolyn of Lawrenceburg, KY. and Johnny Garnett of Corinth, KY., 3 daughters: Barbara Murphy and husband Tommy of Sadieville, KY., Peggy Dyer and husband Donnie of Corinth, KY. and Mary Hall and husband Greg of Corinth, KY., 1 brother: William "Spider" Garnett(the late Mary Ola Garnett) of Owenton, KY., 4 sisters: Nancy Varnarsdall (the late Joe Varnarsdall) of Owenton, KY., JoAnn Darwin and husband Charlie of Warsaw, KY., Betty Sue French (the late Willard French) of Warsaw, KY., Rita Lewis (the late John Lewis) of Warsaw, KY. Mr. Garnett was blessed with 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Garnett will be conducted 2:00 pm Wednesday, April 9 in the chapel of the McDaniel Funeral Home, Corinth with Rev. Dennis Jackson officiating. Serving as pallbearers are: Corey Jones, Jason Hall, Greg Crosthwaite, Lannis Garnett, William Murphy and Ricky Garnett, Jr. Honorary pallbearers are: Matt Dyer and Ryan Garnett. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 8 from 5:00 - 9:00 pm. Burial will be in the Corinth I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Corinth Baptist Church or to the Corinth IOOF Cemetery.
