Jody Jean Sponcil

Jody Jean Sponcil of Dry Ridge, KY. passed away Thursday, February 13 at her residence at the age of 63. Jody was born September 22, 1950 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Robert & Helen Hearne Fitterer. Jody was a homemaker and farmer and for many years raised and sold dogs as well as horses. She loved all animals and taught dog obedience classes for a number of years. She was an avid reader who loved cooking, tending to her flowers and working in the greenhouse. Jody is survived by her long time partner, Phillip Steinius. She has 1 daughter: Tona (Todd) Smith of Springfield, KY. and 1 son: Matthew Steinius of Corinth, KY., 1 brother: Darrel Fitterer of Independence, KY. Jody was blessed with 3 grandchildren: Kaitlyn Smith, Jared Smith and Nick Smith all of Springfield, KY. Funeral services for Jody will be conducted 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 18 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge. Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 18 from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Dry Ridge. Memorials contributions are suggested to the H.O.P.E. Center of Dry Ridge, KY.
