Dora McCoy Anness

Mrs. Dora McCoy Anness, of Dry Ridge, KY. passed away Thursday, February 6 at the Grant Manor Nursing Home in Williamstown at the age of 97. Mrs. Anness was born January 28, 1917 in Dry Ridge, KY. to the late Stanley McCoy and Lola Spillman McCoy. Mrs. Anness was a homemaker and farmer and at the time of her passing she was a member of the Sherman Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Anness was preceded in death by her husband, George Anness on May 26, 2001 and by 2 sisters: Dorothy Stone and Edelle Kelly. Mrs. Anness is survived by 3 nephews: Jerry (Janice) Stone of Dry Ridge, KY., Danny (Elaine) Stone of Walton, KY. and Stephen (Chris) Kelly of Flemingsburg, KY. She has 4 great nephews, 2 great nieces, 3 great, great nephews and 2 great, great nieces. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and many friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Anness will be conducted 3:00 pm Sunday, February 9 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge with Rev. Tim Seevers officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday, February 9 from 12:00 noon - 3:00 pm. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Dry Ridge. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Sherman Church of Christ or to the Hospice of the Bluegrass.
