George Robert Frost

Mr. George Robert Frost, of Dry Ridge, KY. passed away Friday, November 29 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Williamstown at the age of 80. Mr. Frost was born September 23, 1933 in Salvisa, KY. to the late Herman E. Frost and Sarah Kelley Frost. George was a retired Kentucky State Police Trooper with a total of 31 years of service. After his retirement George worked for many years as an assistant funeral director for the McDaniel Funeral Homes. He was a member of the Antioch Church of Christ and for many years sang with the Simpson Brothers gospel group. George was a member of the W. G. Simpson Masonic Lodge in Monterey, KY. and he was a 32d degree mason in the Scottish Rite. George proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a also a member of the State Police Retirees Association. George leaves to mourn his passing his wife: Kay Link Frost, 1 son: Robert Scott (Stephanie) Frost of Dry Ridge, KY., 1 daughter: Jenna Kay Frost (Scott) Janes of Garner, N.C., 2 brothers: Andrew Frost of Williamsburg, KY. and Howard Dudley Frost of Carrollton, KY. George was a loving and devoted grandfather and was blessed with 5 grandchildren: Jacquline Kay Frost, Vanessa Marie Frost, Michael Scott Frost, Madalyn Jewel Janes and Linken Warner Janes. Funeral services for Mr. Frost will be conducted 11:30 am Wednesday, December 4 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Simpson and Rev. Gene Kearns officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday Dec. 3 from 4:00 - 9:00 pm. Burial with military honors will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown, KY.
