Irene Barbara Dixon

Mrs. Irene Dixon, of Latonia, KY. passed away Sunday, September 8 at the Rosedale Green Nursing Home in Latonia at the age of 97. Mrs. Dixon was born November 20, 1915 in Owen County, KY. to the late Warren Howard and Hallie Prather Howard. Mrs. Dixon was a retired sales associate and receptionist for the Shillito Department Store and the Mabley and Carew Department Stores in Cincinnati, OH. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Latonia, KY. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dixon was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Judith Thomas in 1944 and by her first husband: Jack Thomas in 1959 and by her second husband: Jess Dixon in 1990. She was also preceded in death by a brother: John Howard. Mrs. Dixon leaves to mourn her passing a daughter: Patricia Thomas of Montgomery, OH., 1 son: Terry Thomas of Georgetown, KY., 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Dixon will be conducted 3:00 pm Thursday, September 12 in the chapel of the McDaniel Funeral Home, Corinth. Burial will be in the Corinth Cemetery.
