Rev. Wayne "Melvin" Robinson of Sanders, KY. passed away Saturday August 17 at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center at the age of 74. Melvin was born June 13, 1939 in Covington, KY. to the late Buford and Dorothy Jacobs Robinson. Melvin was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Rev. Wayne served the Lord as a Baptist Minister since 1970. During his time as a minister he started four churches the last one being the Grant County Baptist Temple in 1989. His greatest joy was leading people to the Lord. At the time of his passing, Melvin was a member of the Hartwell Baptist Church in Cincinnati, OH. In addition to his parents, Melvin was preceded in death by 1 sister: Bertha Mae Alsip, 2 brothers: Gilbert and Leslie Robinson. Melvin leaves to mourn his passing, his wife of 49 years: Connie Robinson of Sanders, KY., 2 daughters: Vicki (Mike) Kaster of Knoxville, IA. and Tammy (Mike) Rardin of Glencoe, KY., 2 sons: Terry (Ginger) Robinson of Texas City, TX. and Randy (Denell) Robinson of Jenks, OK., 1 sister: Mary (Jack) Whitehead of Houston, TX., 2 brothers: Leroy Robinson of Huffman, TX. and Forrest Robinson of Cross Plains, IN., 9 grandchildren: Jennifer, Daniel, Derek, Kaylyn, Brandon, Taylor, Kris, Tristan and Cody., 2 great grandchildren: Hannah and Deni. Graveside services for Melvin will be held 12 noon on Wednesday, August 21 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown, KY.
