Dakota Fathergill

March 17, 1995 - July 9, 2013

Dakota Michael Fathergill, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at his home in Dry Ridge at the age of 18. Dakota was born on March 17, 1995 in Edgewood, KY. to Connie Fathergill Gonzalez and Victor Gonzalez. Dakota would have started his senior year at Grant County High School this fall. He enjoyed being active in the JROTC program at Grant County High School. Dakota was active in his church youth group and enjoyed going to church camp. He loved being outdoors and zip lining. His favorite times were when he was with his loving family and friends. Dakota was preceded in death by an aunt: Darlene Mefford. Dakota leaves to mourn his passing, his parents: Victor and Connie Gonzalez of Dry Ridge, KY., 1 brother: Damarco Gonzalez of Dry Ridge, KY., grandparents: John W. and Janie Fathergill of Melbourne, KY., aunts and uncles: Mike (Debbie) Fathergill of Corinth, KY., Mark Fathergill of Cincinnati, OH., Dale (Amiee) Fathergill of Brooksville, KY., Butch (Tina) Faul of Brooksville, KY., Roy Faul of Brooksville, KY. and Bill (Bonnie) Reckers of Brooksville, KY. Dakota also leaves behind numerous cousins. Visitation for Dakota will be Monday, July 15 from 11-1pm at the Macedonia Baptist Church in Jonesville, KY. Funeral Services for Dakota will also be Monday, July 15 at 1pm following the visitation at the church, with Rev. Gene Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions are suggested to the family through the funeral home.
