Woodrow Halfhill

Franklin Woodrow "Woody" Halfhill, of Owenton, KY. passed away Wednesday, May 29 at the Owenton Manor Nursing Home at the age of 73. Mr. Halfhill was born December 30, 1939 in Scott County, KY. to the late Walter Woodrow Halfhill and Gladys E. Wright Halfhill. Mr. Halfhill was a farmer and at the time of his passing was a member of the Hesler Assembly of God. In addition to his parents, Mr. Halfhill was preceded in death by brothers: Gary Eugene Halfhill in 1990, Walter Junior Otis Halfhill in 1988 and by Daryl Lee Halfhill in 2012. Mr. Halfhill is survived by his wife: Peggy Dunn Halfhill, 1 son: Jonathan Halfhill of Owenton, KY., daughters: Connie Smith of Owenton, KY., Debbie Agrue of Owenton, KY., Brenda Collins of Owenton, KY., Sharon Spaulding of Sparta, KY., Sherry Smith of Owenton, KY. and Rachel Newby of Owenton, KY. 1 brother: Howard Wayne Halfhill of Corinth, KY., 4 sisters: Joyce Dyer of Warsaw, KY., Jean O'Hara & Carol O'Banion both of Corinth, KY. and Diane Herrington of Cynthiana, KY. He was blessed with 21 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Halfhill will be conducted 11:00 am Saturday, June 1 in the chapel of the McDaniel Funeral Home, Corinth with Bro. Jerry Peters officiating. Visitation will be there on Friday, May 31 from 5:00 - 9:00 pm. Burial will be in the Corinth Cemetery.
