Mary Magdalene Shupe

August 1, 1926 - April 18, 2013

Mrs. Mary Magdalene Shupe, of Corinth, KY. passed away on Thursday, April 18 at Grant Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Williamstown, KY. at the age of 86. Mrs. Shupe was born August 1, 1926 in Harlan County, KY. to the late Edward Duncan and Susan Harris Duncan. Mrs. Shupe was a homemaker and co-owner of the former Shupe's Grocery in Corinth. Mrs. Shupe enjoyed reading, crocheting, collecting dolls and salt and pepper shakers. At the time of her passing she was a member of the Shiloh Full Gospel Church in Corinth. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Shupe was preceded in death by her husband: Wayman Scott Shupe on March 28, 1995 and she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Mrs. Shupe leaves to mourn her passing 2 daughters: Carolyn Switzer of Corinth, KY. and Delevia Gray of Gallatin County, KY., 1 sister: Debie Durham. She was blessed with 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Shupe will be conducted 10:00 am Monday, April 22 at the Shiloh Full Gospel Church on Keefer Road in Corinth with Rev. Floyd Race officiating. Visitation will also be at the church on Sunday from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Zion Station. The arrangements for Mrs. Shupe have been entrusted to the McDaniel Funeral Home of Corinth.
