Kathy Krisan Courtney Steele, passed away Wednesday, March 13 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Fort Thomas, KY. at the age of 56. Mrs. Steele was born October 28, 1956 in Covington, KY. to Ruby Kathleen Tackett Courtney and Leslie Richard Courtney, Sr. Mrs. Steele was a restaurant cook and had previously worked for the Woodland Inn in Walton, KY. She enjoyed all things outdoors including gardening, flowers, swimming and fishing. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and family. Mrs. Steele leaves to mourn her passing her sons: Michael Shawn Steele of Crittenden, KY. and William Leslie Boyd Courtney of Covington, KY. Her parents: Richard and Ruby Courtney of Walton, KY., 1 sister: Donna Jacks of Crittenden, KY., 2 brothers: Leslie Richard Courtney, Jr. of Grant County, KY. and Boyd Dean Courtney of Mt. Vernon, KY. and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Steele will be conducted 1:00 pm Saturday, March 16 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge with Bro. Charles Courtney officiating. Visitation will be there on Saturday from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm.
