Gladys Baker

Mrs. Gladys M. Pettit Baker, of Dry Ridge, KY. passed away Sunday, February 10 at home at the age of 91. Mrs. Baker was born June 19, 1921 in Mt. Sterling, KY. to the late Herman Huff, Sr. and Myrtle Curry Huff. Mrs. Baker was a homemaker and a retired home health aide. She formerly was a member of the Williamstown Senior Citizens and at the time of her passing she was a member of the Sherman Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by her first husband: James A. Pettit and her second husband: Ervin Baker. She was also preceded in death by sons: Charles Richard Ratliff, Ronnie B. Pettit and Johnny Arnold Pettit. Mrs. Baker leaves to mourn her passing a daughter: Judy A. Peace of Dry Ridge, KY., 2 brothers: Leonard Huff of Dayton, OH. and Shirley Huff of Dry Ridge, KY., 3 sisters: Hazel Combs of Middletown, OH., Irene May of Dayton, OH., and Sharon Brown of Burlington, KY. She was blessed with 8 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Baker will be conducted 1:00 pm Thursday, February 14 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge. Visitation will be there on Thursday from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Dry Ridge.
