Catherine Lynn Newsome, of Crittenden, KY., passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at her residence at the age of 56. Mrs. Newsome was born February 23, 1956 in Covington, KY. to Naomi Flairty Knight and the late Wayne Knight. She was disabled and enjoyed gardening, camping and rock concerts. At the time of her passing she was a member of the Gardnersville Christian Church. Mrs. Newsome leaves to mourn her passing her children: Monica (Eric) Elliott, Jessica Newsome, Danny (Sarah) Marksbury & Tony (Stacey Atteberry) Marksbury. Her mother: Naomi Knight, 1 sister: Deborah Hurley and 1 brother: Gary W. Knight. She also has 7 grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Newsome will be conducted 3:00 pm Wednesday, Feb. 6 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge with Rev. Barry Robinson officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 12:00 noon - 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Family of Catherine Newsome, in care of Mrs. Naomi Knight.
