Rev. Russell Fryman, Jr., of Union, KY. passed away Wednesday, January 23 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Florence, KY. at the age of 77. Rev. Fryman was born November 29, 1935 in Newtown, Ohio to the late Russell Fryman, Sr. and Louise Hillard Fryman. Rev. Fryman was a longtime minister of the Gospel having served the Lord for 42 years and at the time of his passing was the pastor of the Northern Kentucky First Church of God in Erlanger, KY. He also formerly owned and operated Fryman's Aluminum Siding and Home Improvements, Down to Earth Excavating, the Fryman's Meat Locker in Dry Ridge, KY., the Grant County Ambulance Service and he was the former Fire Chief for the city of Dry Ridge. He was also an accomplished singer and musician. In addition to his parents, Rev. Fryman was preceded in death by a son: Russell David Fryman in 1957, by a brother: Oris David Fryman, by sisters: Ada Nester & Marie Kinman. Rev. Fryman leaves to mourn his passing his wife of 57 years: Theola Jenkins Fryman, 4 sons: Terry E. (Bev) Fryman of Dry Ridge, KY., Ricky Dale (Sandy) Fryman of Florence, KY., Randy E. Fryman of Florence, KY. & Stephen B. (Mindy) Fryman of Union, KY., 2 daughters: Kayanna Sue (Tim) Bennett of Union, KY. & Tracy Rene (Shawn) Tolson of Walton, KY., 1 foster daughter: Brenda (Ronnie) Maines of Williamstown, KY., 1 brother: Jimmy Fryman of Dry Ridge, KY., 6 sisters: Margie Humphries of Amelia, OH., Anne McKenney of Dry Ridge, KY., Nina Reece of Deputy, IN., Janie Ingram of Mt. Sterling, KY., Adina Dunaway of Mt. Sterling, KY. & Doris Large of Madison, IN. He has 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral services for Rev. Fryman will be conducted 2:00 pm Sunday, January 27 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge with Rev. Russell Hays officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday in the chapel from 5:00 - 9:00 pm. Burial will be in the Corinth I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
