Carl Henage

May 2, 1950 - December 25, 2012

Carl Eugene Henage, of New Columbus, passed away on Tuesday, December 25 at his home at the age of 62 following a long illness. Mr. Henage was born May 2, 1950 in Owen County, KY. to the late J. W. Henage and Mildred Nicholson Henage. Mr. Henage was a retired assembly worker for General Motors and a long time member of the New Columbus Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher and Sunday school director. In his spare time he enjoyed working on his farm. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, J. W. Henage in 1983 and Mildred Henage Dempsey in 2007 and by a brother: Roger Henage in 1968. Mr. Henage leaves to mourn his passing his wife: Sue Henage, 2 sons: Jason (Karen) Henage of Buckner, KY. and Eric (Brooke) Henage of Florence, KY., 3 brothers: James T. (Billie Jo) Henage of Dry Ridge, KY., Larry J. Henage and Rogan L. Henage both of New Columbus. He has 1 stepbrother: Eddie Dempsey of Georgetown, KY. and he was blessed with 8 grandchildren: Hannah, Ella, Kate, Sophie, Ava-Kate, Benjamin, Samuel and Luke. Funeral services for Carl will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday, December 29 at the New Columbus Baptist Church with Rev. Bruce Harrison and Rev. Brad Vincent officiating. The organist will be Mrs. Faye Prewitt and the soloist will be Mr. Bill Prewitt. Visitation will be Friday from 5-9 pm in the chapel of the McDaniel Funeral Home, Corinth and on Saturday at the church from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm. Burial will be in the New Columbus Cemetery.
