Lena Hunter

November 26, 1924 - December 9, 2012

Mrs. Lena Hunter, of Corinth, KY. passed away Sunday, December 9 at the New Horizons Medical Center in Owenton at the age of 88. Mrs. Hunter was born November 26, 1924 in Lusby Mill, KY. to the late John Duncan and Nancy Howard Duncan. Mrs. Hunter was a homemaker and farmer and at the time of her passing she was a member of the New Columbus Baptist Church. Mrs. Hunter enjoyed quilting and crocheting and was a longtime member of the Owen County Homemakers. During World War II Mrs. Hunter worked in Cincinnati, OH. in defense plants for the war effort. In addition to her parents Mrs. Hunter was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Hunter. Mr. Hunter passed away December 12, 2006. Mrs. Hunter leaves to mourn her passing a daughter: Carolyn (Delbert) Keith of Owenton, KY., 2 sisters: Mattie Kincaid and Letha Young both of Lusby Mill, KY. 2 grandchilden: Troy (Brooke) Keith of Lexington, KY. and Laura (Craig) Arnold of Springfield, KY., 2 great grandchildren: Blake Arnold and Allie Arnold both of Springfield, KY. Funeral services for Mrs. Hunter will be conducted 2:00 pm Thursday, December 13 in the chapel of the McDaniel Funeral Home, Corinth with Rev. Jesse Bourne, Rev. David "Milkweed" Wotier and Rev. Brad Vincent officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 - 9:00 pm. Burial will be in the New Columbus Cemetery.
