Georgia Lou Hammons

Mrs. Georgia Lou Mulberry Hammons, of Georgetown, KY. passed away Sunday, December 9 at the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, KY. at the age of 78. Mrs. Hammons was born November 9, 1934 in Sadieville, KY. to the late Carl Mulberry and Alva Bates Mulberry. Mrs. Hammons was a homemaker and a member of the Corinth Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking for family members and others. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hammons was preceded in death by her husband: Harold Hammons. Mr. Hammons passed away October 9, 2007. Mrs. Hammons leaves to mourn her passing a daughter: Karla Atha of Georgetown, KY., 2 sons: Mark (Bobbie Jayne) Hammons of Williamstown, KY. and Dewayne (Wanda Crupper) Hammons of Dry Ridge, KY., 1 sister: Ann Mulberry Heddin of Georgetown, KY. Mrs. Hammons was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Hammons will be conducted 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 12 in the chapel of the McDaniel Funeral Home, Corinth with Rev. Ray Roach officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm. Burial will be in the Eckler Cemetery, Corinth.
