Roger Lewis Saylor

Roger Lewis Saylor, of Crittenden, KY. passed away Thursday, October 4 at home at the age of 76. Mr. Saylor was born February 28, 1936 in Bell County, KY. to the late John L. Saylor and Gertrude Rogers Saylor. Mr. Saylor was a retired teacher and principal having served the Grant County and Kenton County School Systems. He was a self employed tax preparer, real estate broker and farmer. At the time of his passing Mr. Saylor was a member and Elder of the Corinth Christian Church. Mr. Saylor served his country in the United States Army. Mr. Saylor leaves to mourn his passing his wife of 52 years, Bettye Harris Saylor. 2 sons: J. O. Saylor and wife Suzanne of Crittenden, KY. & Leo and wife Pam of Crittenden, KY. He has 1 sister: Betty Jean Webster of Madison, IN. and 2 brothers: Bob Saylor of Cape Coral, FL. and Tom Saylor of Ft. Myers, FL. 6 grandchildren: Shawn Saylor, Rebekah Saylor, Jordan Saylor, Joey Saylor, Janna Saylor and Jill Saylor, 1 nephew: Robert Saylor and 2 nieces: Jennifer Bates and Dana Hazlett. Funeral services for Mr. Saylor will be conducted 2:00 pm Sunday, October 7 at the Corinth Christian Church with Rev. Quintin McNabb and Rev. Kent Allender officiating. Music will be provided by Mr. Robbie Wagoner. Those serving as casket bearers will be: J. O. Saylor, Shawn Saylor, Jordan Saylor, Leo Saylor, Chris Smith, Joey Saylor, Wayne Switzer and Buzzy Fisher. Honorary casket bearers will be: Bob True, Billy Ratcliff, Willie Cook, Arthur Wright, Billy Hill, Kenny Howe, Rodger Bingham, Matthew Vance and Jeff Fisk. Visitation will be Saturday, October 6 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge and on Sunday at the church from 1:00 pm until the funeral hour. Burial will be in the Eckler Cemetery, Corinth, KY.
