Thomas Griffin Pettit

Thomas Griffin Pettit, of Dry Ridge, KY. passed away Thursday, July 26 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood, KY. at the age of 61. Mr. Pettit was born April 8, 1951 in Dry Ridge, KY. to Ruby Webster Pettit and the late Griffith Mureal Pettit. Mr. Pettit worked in the shipping department at Aristech Acrylics in Florence, KY. and he was a farmer. Mr. Pettit enjoyed any outdoor activities whether it be hunting or taking care of the farm animals. At the time of his passing he was a member of the Clark's Creek Baptist Church and the National Rifle Association. Mr. Pettit graduated from the Grant County High School in the class of 1969. Among the many who will greatly miss his presence is his dog, Ace. Mr. Pettit's father, Griffith M. Pettit passed away August 1, 1988. Mr. Pettit leaves to mourn his passing his wife of 26 years, Brenda Evans Pettit. 1 son: Thomas Griffith "T. G." Pettit and his wife Amanda of Dry Ridge, KY. His mother: Ruby Webster Pettit of Dry Ridge, KY., 1 brother: Steven D. Pettit and his wife Barbara of Williamstown, KY. 2 sisters: Mary Ellen Stamper of Dry Ridge, KY. and Becky Jackson and her husband Gilbert of Dry Ridge, KY. Mr. Pettit has several nieces and nephews and 1 great, great nephew. Funeral services for Mr. Pettit will be conducted 11:00 am Monday, July 30 in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, Dry Ridge with Rev. Gene Hill officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday at the funeral home from 4:00 - 9:00 pm. Burial will be in the Jonesville I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
