Donald Lee Whitson

Donald Lee Whitson, of Hinton, KY. passed away Thursday, July 26 at home at the age of 82. Mr. Whitson was born August 23, 1929 in Hinton, KY. to the late Vorus Whitson and Roberta Gray Whitson. Mr. Whitson was a retired excavator and owned a tree service. He was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Lodge #282 in Cincinnati, OH. and proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. Mr. Whitson leaves to mourn his passing 2 sons: Don Lee Whitson, Jr. and Milo P. Whitson both of Mesa, AZ. 2 daughters: Nola Suzie Wiley of Mt. Pleasant, TN. & Thelma Lucy of Whitehouse, TN., 2 brothers: Scotty Whitson of Cincinnati, OH. & Dewey Whitson of Lexington, KY. He has 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild. Funeral services for Mr. Whitson will be conducted 2:00 pm Monday, July 30 in the chapel of the McDaniel Funeral Home, Corinth with Rev. Ken Jones officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 12:00 noon - 2:00 pm. Burial with military honors will be in the Raven Creek Cemetery, Harrison County.
